"Walk through Walls" is Abramovic's memoir of her life in performance art and this rare copy was Signed by Abramovic after her Rothschild Foundation Lecture at the Royal Academy in November 2019.
Marina Abramović is a Serbian conceptual and performance artist, philanthropist and art filmmaker. Her work explores body art, endurance art and feminist art, the relationship between performer and audience, the limits of the body, and the possibilities of the mind.
Well known for her piece 'The Artist is Present' performed at the MOMA where members of the public would queue up to sit on a chair directly facing Marina Abramovic who sat for 8 hours a day on the chair for 3 months. The piece often provoked emotional responses from whoever sat in the chair, as Abramovic either stared into your soul or acted as a mirror for you to see yourself.
